Rainer Korte, one of the two Managing Partners of Korte Einrichtungen GmbH, formerly owned the shop fitting company Pistor in Kuerten, a company which transformed from a small joiner’s workshop into a shop fitting specialist for bakeries and cafes within a few years.
Following the merger with shop fitting company Maier from Munich in 1987, Rainer Korte and the well-known important baker Fritz Merzenich from Cologne founded the shop fitting company Maier + Pistor + Böcker; this company achieved a turn over of more than 90 Mio Deutsch Marks and employed approx 400 people.
In December 1996 Rainer Korte resigned from his function as Managing Director at Maier + Pistor + Böcker and founded the company Korte Einrichtungen GmbH together with his son Thomas Korte.
